Week 15 MAIN STREAM MEDIA

I decided to focus on Main Stream Media because of my interest with television and radio. Main Stream Media is the collection of forms of different media, especially traditional forms like newspapers, television and radio. Media is media. Media can always be portrayed in a positive or negative light. An example of a positive show of media is television, radio, and movies like ABC family, and FOX news. A negative portrayal of media can be seen by a risky social media post by someone famous or someone who has influential power over others. I think Media portrayal effects people who are early teenagers to late 20 years of age the most because we are the generation who try to “fit in” with todays society's version of what is socially acceptable. When meanwhile we ourselves are not really sure of the exact definition of what socially acceptable is. We go off of society's standards of what is acceptable to post, talk about or show over media.
